What time is it? Funruntime.com!!

Today was the big Fund Run day! Our sweet friends participated first thing this morning running as many laps as they could around the track. Mr. Awesome helped us warm up our bodies before running too. We've been learning a lot of great lessons from our Fund Run friends and I've noticed the one that stuck with our friends was "Winners Never Quit". I am so impressed with our friends' enthusiasm to apply this saying not only to the Fund Run but also to their school work. I heard many friends saying today while we were working on our Elmer Elephants that they needed to do a great job completing it because winners never quit. I could not have asked for a better response to the Fund Run friends' lessons. Thank you for all of your support with the Fund Run and here are a few pictures for those of you who could not make it today!

This week was also all about colors. We've covered the colors red, purple, white, and the whole rainbow for picture day. We read the book "The Crayon Box That Talked" and made our own crayon boxes practicing matching the colors to their color word. On our purple day, we read the book "Harold's Purple Crayon" and made our own purple fingerpaint with shaving cream and red and blue food coloring. Our friends really enjoyed this activity even though it was super messy! We also read the book "Elmer" today and made our own Elmer's coloring by numbers. Tomorrow we will read "Brown Bear Brown Bear, What Do You See?" and make our own Brown Bear books adding the colors to the pages. Here are some pictures to describe our color study so far!
